Lauren Butterworth, PLLC, Attorney & Owner

LAUREN BUTTERWORTH

Owner & Attorney

A Berks County native, Lauren has built her career around one core mission—helping families plan for and protect what matters most. She is especially passionate about working with clients who have children with special needs, guiding them through every step of the planning process with compassion, clarity, and genuine care.

Lauren earned her Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education from Penn State University – University Park and began her professional journey as a teacher in Berks County. Her experience in education sparked a deeper interest in advocacy and problem-solving, leading her to pursue her law degree at Widener Commonwealth Law School. Today, she combines her background in education with her legal expertise to provide thoughtful, accessible guidance to every family she serves.

As the founder and owner of the firm, Lauren is dedicated to creating an environment where clients feel supported, informed, and confident in their decisions. She strives to make special needs planning as stress-free and personalized as possible—because she knows that every family’s story is unique.

When she’s not in the office, Lauren can be found spending time with her two young children, enjoying the company of family and friends, and giving back to the community she’s proud to call home.

Nathan Lackman, Legal Guardian

NATHAN LACKMAN

National Certified Guardian

Helping people navigate life's complexities is what Nathan is all about. He started working in this field because he has a real passion for serving others.

The work he does in special needs planning is particularly close to his heart. Having a brother with autism gives him a deep understanding of what families go through, and he's driven to help them by providing compassionate and customized guidance. It's an area where he feels he can make a real, personal impact.

Nathan believes that the best relationships are built on trust and follow-through. What he enjoys most is helping clients gain confidence and freedom by making smart choices for their loved ones' futures. He's also a National Certified Guardian (NCG), which shows his commitment to a high level of expertise in this area.

When he's not working, you'll find Nathan on the wrestling mat—he's a former two-time NCAA champion who now coaches. He lives with his wife, Abbey, and stays close with his siblings, Nick, Matthew, and Briana.

We’re truly grateful to have Nathan on our team—his empathy, dedication, and leadership make a difference every day.
